Wheel Condition Grading Scale
Grade | Condition | Description |
A+ | New | Brand new wheel that has never been mounted onto a tire. |
A | Like New | A wheel that has been mounted, but has little use. Usually taken off from brand new vehicles at the dealership. |
A- | Very Good | A used wheel with very very minor surface scratches usually on the clear coat. Looks new from a distance and is hard to pinpoint the affected areas. |
B+ | Good | A used wheel with light scratches and possible curb scratches that may not be noticeable from afar. |
B | Fair | A used wheel with normal wear and tear scratches. Some curb rash may be present but the overall paint/finish is still good despite the imperfections. |
B- | Acceptable | A used wheel with more noticeable curb rash scratches and possible paint imperfections. Sometimes clear coat is beginning to come off. |
C | Poor | A wheel with more than normal surface scratches and curb rash. This wheel may have paint fading and or be plasti-dipped. Can be painted a different color as well. Excellent wheel to recondition or rechrome. |
Recondition | Like New | A wheel that may have had some minor curb rash or scratches but was redone to look like new. NEVER BENT NOR CRACKED. Recondition only fixes cosmetic imperfections not structural. |
New Replica | New | Brand new replacement wheels made to resemble wheels and made to OEM specs/standards. |
